Pick of the month (December 2008): Well, this month's pick won the poll on the AGS blog. Damsel is a funny parody of classic stories like Rapunzel but this time, you're the princess and you've got fed up waiting for some charming chap in shining armour to show up, so it's rescue-it-yourself time. Author "Strange Vistor" has also been a creative force involved in A Cure for the Common Cold and Chicken vs Road so you'll definitely love it if you enjoyed those games (and who didn't?) But now her royal princessliness has been kidnapped by the quasi-evil, fat little middle aged wizard Dorkus, and trapped high in a tower with no doors! She's held out as long as she can, but if she doesn't escape tonight, Dorkus will force her to marry him! What's a girl in distress to do? Well, wait for rescue, obviously. But when rescues go wrong, Damsels must do it for themselves! Damsel is a short comedy adventure game, and comes in two versions, one with voice acting, one without. The version with voice (56 MB) is available at the main download link, the version without (13.6 MB) at the download mirror. We highly recommend the voiced version, we had some really talented performers for it. :) If you get lost, Damsel also has an in-game hint system on the control menu! Check it out!
